Joseph F. Nolan was born in San Francisco, September 6, 1879 and received his education in the public schools and St. Joseph Academy. Employee of the Los Angeles County for 15 years, Sheriff's office; Principal Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms, Republican National Convention, Kansas City, 1928. Mr. Nolan has been Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate since 1923, and is Chief Special Agent, General Petroleum Corporation of California. Nolan resided in Los Angeles. (California Blue Book 1932)
